The AP5050U/D has an Environment choice of Indoor or Outdoor, depending on the installation location. Support for 6 GHz (Wi-Fi 6E) radio (Indoor) operation depends on the compliance region. Support for 6 GHz (Wi-Fi 6E) radio (Outdoor) operation is partially supported, depending on availability indicated by the Automatic Frequency Coordination (AFC) server.
Note
The AP5050U/D (Outdoor) 6 GHz radio operates 6 GHz in Standard Power mode when set to Outdoor, under AFC server control in the US and Canada pending certification approval. Low Power mode is not available Outdoor but it can operate in Standard Power mode Outdoors if the compliance region allows.The AP5020 is a universal indoor access point with a Wi-Fi 7 tri-radio.
